Random Tuesday

How adorable is my little Kitter? The most adorable is what! These were taken at approximately 3:45am Saturday night. We were having drinking night at the house. Yay! So Kitter apparently decided that I must not be going to bed that night and made her a nice little snuggly home in my covers on my side of the bed.

In addition to cuteness, here is some more work that has been done on Krystal's tattoo.

In her previous session she got this:

Recap of the meaning: She loves monkeys...so that is the center piece, the cobra is for her Dad, who uses that as his trucking name and also has a cobra tattoo, there is an Italian horn hanging from the monkey's neck, this is for her Grandfather, who was 100% Italian, the Army hat that the monkey is wearing is for her other grandfather who was in the Army.

This past weekend she got her half sleeve that will eventually be tied into the shoulder piece:

(the above is a blended picture of her arm turned one way and then the other to show both sides)

The elephant represents one of her grandmothers, (who collected elephants with only the trun up) the bell represents her mother (she collects bells), the eagle at the top is for her brother who is an Eagle Scout, the braile represents her OTHER grandmother, who was blind. The braile says "Jeopardy" because that is what she used to "watch" on TV. It was one of her favorite shows since everything was read and she could follow along.

Three to four more session for the color to be added! Going to be absolutely awesome with the color...I mean, it is already awesome just black and grey! The colors are going to be BRIGHT greens, yellows, blues, purples...

She may be adorable but she is still evil, at least to me.

Krystal's tattoo rocks, I can't wait to see the color put in.

Cat's always find a way into the warm spots. ;)

that ink is lookin good.. i have been searching for an artist to do more work on mine.. the trouble isn't actually finding one - because there are so many in Sin City.. but one that I like!

Larkin - yeah, it is just you that she is evil too...she was lovin all on everyone else this weekend.

Jiggins - I cannot tell you how many times I have almost sat on them...they get all up in the blankets and I can't see them...

I tend to lean toward shops that ONLY do tattoos (not tattoos and piercings and whatever else) and then just narrow down from there! :) The guy that is doing Krystal's work specializes in black and gray, horror and Japanese, but was really interested in taking on her piece because it was different than his norm...I think he is doing a fantastic job!!

Krystal tattoo is awesome and I love it that is has so much meaning and symbolism about her family. I have 4 tattoos myself and although they all mean something to me they don't really have any symbolism or family related, but I do love that idea... Can't wait to see the final master piece!

Also, I don't even need to mention that I love your little Kitter!!! The last pic is my favorite.

Sunshine - Krystal's tat is really awesome! She spent alot of time thinking about what she wanted and how she wanted it to be!

Kitter was my first baby ever...so she holds a special place in my heart even though she is a total princess about EVERYTHING!

The tat artist is doing a fantastic job! I'm loving it all, esp the meaning behind each part of the whole.

Jude - yes he is!! It looks even better in person...hopefully we can get some more pics up soon. Those were taken with a camera phone...we need to get the camera battery charged so we can get some real detailed pics!

Again, ouch, but cool.

Sassy - she sat there like a champ! That was a 3 1/2 hour sitting there and she barely flinched!

That tattoo is fucking awesome! I wish mine meant something more than representing my days in the Yakuza.... *oops* TMI!

The application of a tattoo still involves injecting ink with needles, right? [shudder]
I will give blood to (hopefully) save a life - but that's it with me and needles. When they can do it painlessly with lasers, I'll consider it.

This does not detract from the coolness of Krystal's tattoo. But I fully embrace my wimpdom.

Mel - makes the tat just that much more awesome!

Capt D - well THAT would be a fun story for the kids...unless of course you are still active and then I never heard anything.

Jim - indeed it does! However, you would probably be surprised to learn that it feels nothing like a needle jabbing into your arm. I relate it most closely with someone scratching a sunburn. It is a burning sensation and not a stabbing one.

Perhaps for your 60th birthday we can go to the tattoo parlor together...

Dawg - WORD.
