Monday I had a follow up doctors appointment for my panic attack issue and all is well. I asked the doctor if I could quit taking the Celexa since it made me feel like I was a crack head and he granted me permission. So, I just have my Xanax by my side at all times in case anything happens. So far, so good! :)
I also had the Doc look at this wart that has been on my finger for like a year now. I have never had a wart before and for the first few months I thought I had a bad ass callus, but then it started hurting and growing and generally getting on my nerves. I tried some over the counter stuff, which did nothing. So he performed Cryosurgery. That word sounds so much sweeter than he froze the offending wart off. The Cryosurgery may have to be performed up to three times. This is after the first freezing:
It looked much more bad ass before he did some scraping and freezing. Now it just looks like a blood blister.
I also got a very interesting lesson on warts. They have their own vascular AND nerve supply.
Warts are basically like tumors! How weird is THAT? I had no idea.
As for Halloween...I must thank Kat for forwarding this to me. Not only did I almost fall out of my chair laughing at the picture, the caption had me in stitches! "Now You Too Can Look Like You've Got An Electrocuted Possum On Your Head" See, just typing that made me laugh again...ohhhh it hurts...stop it! Then reading the review on the wig in the first link..WOW. FUNNNNNNY!
So, really, I am going to get this for Halloween. You too can buy it!
Now for the rain storm I had to drive through on the WAY to the reunion AND back from the reunion. I am under the impression the storm just hung over I-16 all weekend and waited on me to come through.
During:
Couldn't see 20 feet in front of me. On the picture to the left, there is a car up and on the right. See it? See how the yellow line on the right fades after a few feet?
After:
Clear yellow line.
What We Drove Through For 162 Miles:
The camera phone made this picture look funky!
Whew. It was stressful!

Save yourself the doctor visit. Go buy wart removal bandaids at any local pharmacy or probably even walmart.
Trust me, they work, and fast.
I love that last pic. So Dali of you.
Dawg - I totally tried all the over the counter stuff...didn't even make a dent. The doctor said it is because it is so deep rooted...whatever that means. I had a mental image of it actually growing tree roots in my finger. Ew.
MD - aw...I love Dali!! Hey, guess what! It is August! The month of our meeting! WAHOOOOOOOOOOO!
Hey Jess, my brother's had warts on his fingers on and off for a few years and has had Cryosurgery a few times as well and they all seem to grow back.
Last time I saw him he told me that somebody recommended him just banana skin on them. Basically you cut a tiny piece (the size of the wart) and put the fleshy side on the wart with a bandaid over night until the wart goes away... So if u keep having them coming back that might be a good, cheap option, seems to work pretty good!
BTW, did u get a change to see the link I posted on a comment about your rats (on of the last posts on July)? Let me know...
Sunshine - if the freezing doesn't remove it, I will totally be trying some other remedies! Plus, who doesn't want to smell like a banana?!? LOL!
I did get to see the link and that was totally adorable!! Our rats don't stay that still!
The last couple trips I have made to Atlanta and back it has been raining, and they have been really bad storms. I don't know what it is with I-16.
I'm glad you made it back all safe and sound! :)
Mitzy - it is satan in he clouds...RAmen!
you got rain, could you send us some. We have fires pretty well
surrounding our area. Has been
at 36 to 38 degrees for last few
weeks (37.8 = 100 F). Today its
cooled, but winds are still high.
Really, we'd appreciate the rain,
will send u some summer in return.
Yes, we are all very proud of Cpt.
Dumbass bro passing his RCMP exam.
So all 3 of my offspring are doing well. I mean, Capitan Dumbass is big in Utah, sis, Melanie D is
big on the weather network, and
brother A. is now going to be "the man!'
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
All us Libra people are good
people.
Jerlyn - I have heard about this crazy weather you guys have been having! I will gladly send you the rain, but in return, you must take away this humidity! It is stifling! It will be 115 tomorrow with the heat index!
You can't ask for anything better than the kids doing well in life! Even though I don't know first hand, I would say you did a pretty good job there!
I have to say, us Libra ARE good folk! Let's take a bow in honor of our awesomeness!
I had some nasty ass wart going on the bottom of my foot. I ignored it for years and now I'm on my... 7th? freeze visit. My doctor says forget about the over the counter stuff, it's useless. If you have to go again, ask the doctor to throw whatever is left on the floor. Way cool
Capt D - oh gah! I hope it doesn't take that many visits! Not that it is particularly painful, but it kinda gets in the way of my social life. And by social life, I mean beer at lunch time.
Over the counter was totally a waste of money!
I am totally gonna ask him to spray it on the floor! FUN TIMES AHEAD!!!
I tried the band aides and over the counter freeze stuff then finally went to a derm dr and he used something like a blowtorch to freeze the two I had on my finger. They blistered and now they're scabbing over. Maybe it's time to use a banana just in case.
Driving in the rain any distance really sucks. Around here, the first 5 minutes of rain causes the most accidents because of all the oil on the streets and peeps drive like, you know, AH's!
I want a rear view mirror like that.. it's awesome.
But you can keep the wart.
Ugh, this reminds me of when I was 10 yrs old and I used to bite my cuticles to the point of peeling the skin off because of anxiety... and then, what had happened was, I developed a bad case of warts on my fingers and was embarrassed to show anyone my hands. They had to do a THERAPY of freezing it. What a horror. Take care of that! They're no joke! And you're right - they are exactly like tumors! Isn't that bizarre???
In any event, how are you feeling? Remember: you have the control, the anxiety only lasts for so long but you can never die from one, ....unless you trip and fall down the stairs like I did. I would stick to the ativan, but if xanax works for you, then that's good. Just be careful with them because they are highly addictive and don't drink with them !!! Please be careful! Breathe.....
xo
Dude, how could I NOT send you the link to the wig? For serious! Oh and the email you sent me back, I was on Skype talking to my mom and I HAD to read it to her because I was laughing so hard.
Deb - I am going to def work on freezing the little fucker to death. He is straight gettin on my nerves!! Literally. I feel pretty good...better without the Celexa. I only take 1/4 of a milligram (.5 cut in half) of Xanax IF I need it. So far, so good. Took on half yesterday due to a bit of a racing heart that I didn't want to go anywhere...and in about 15-30 it was all good! The reason I don't want to do the Ativan is because of the drinking...not a drug you can drink with. Day at a time...one breath at a time...breathing... xoxox
Kat - I told everyone (who doesn't read my blog i.e. Bobby and Krystal) about it and they thought it was HILARIOUS! Thank you again!!
CPM - I thought that was a pretty funky pic the camera phone took...though it would probably freak me out if it ACTUALLY looked like that...
