Visitors!

I mentioned a few posts back about meeting our friends, Rob and Karmen, from Belgium. We met at The Longbrach, always home of fantastic mullets and horrible karaoke. Oh, how I do love The Longbranch.

Meet Rob:

Meet Karmen:

Also, you can stalk them track their adventures here.

SO, they were only supposed to be visiting Savannah for two weeks or so and then making their way down to South America. An unfortunate set of events have occurred, one being the sidecar they were using to haul their belongings was defective and the company in which they bought it from is giving them grief about returning their money and secondly, the house they were staying in was robbed and their external hard drive, holding all their music, movies copies of ID's, passports, credit cards, etc. was taken, along with their MP3 player and GPS.

What the FUCK is WRONG with people?!? Why? WHY? WHY? WHYYYYY? It pisses me the fuck off that these lovely folks took time out of their two year long trip to visit this beautiful city and they get jacked! On top of THAT, the MP3 player is useless without the proper software to erase the data and the thieves don't even have the software to make the GPS work! People are just plain useless sometimes. Makes. Me. Ill.

The good news in all of this is that we were able to hang out with Rob and Karmen again last night. They are currently waiting to see if any of their things show up (they were smart enough to have the serial numbers for all of the items stolen) and they are also waiting on a new trailer to be built for them to haul behind their bike.

So last night we took the kids out to eat at Carrabba's and to shoot pool at our local pool hall, Capone's. First of all, we got our asses HANDED to us, I am pretty sure they are pool sharks and secondly, I got a little too tipsy for a Monday night, which made for a not so awesome 8:00 awakening. I typically like to reserve my hangovers for Fridays. All the same, it was TOTALLY worth it to hang out with such interesting people! We are already talking about saving up money and in two years (they will still be on the road for at least another year) trying to make a trip over to see them.

By the way, KAT, this trip actually involves you too! We were going to fly to England, stay with you and your peeps and take the train over to see France and shit and also visit them in Belgium. Thought you might need to know that we would be squatting at your spot. Minor detail.

We are hoping that we can take Rob and Karmen to the beach this weekend...but before then we are excited that they have agreed to come over Wednesday evening for Sour Cream Cheesy Burritos! A Jessica specialty! Horrible for your figure, fantastically orgasmic going down!

OH! Spring is here! WOOT!

Give Me The Stats!

I do love me a stat counter! Especially reading how my blog is found. This week on the stats we will find the following:

(You may need to make large for reference. It will open in another window)

First, let's look at the items with dots beside them.

Who is searching for my perm?! Was it so bad that one must come back again and again for laughs!!! I got my eye on you!!! Aww, just kidding, but don't look out your window right now.

Now let's move to the smiley face.

Whoever out there searched for KK and Bobz blogspot I heart you so!

"This life of mine got a lot to do before I live it up in search of people?!?"

Sir, are you drunk? WTF does that even mean?!?! I think you should refrain from typing and drinking at the same time. Unless, of course, you have one of those beer hat thingies.

I sure hope that really wasn't a picture of you.

Next, and of most important note, check out the arrow...who the hell wants to defenestrate me?!? RUDE is what that is. JUST RUDE.

And then there is the ever present searches for Kate Gosselin's hair. That woman is never going to stop getting hits on my blog. She should pay me. Well, she would probably have to sell one of her children to pay me what I am asking, but she has 8...she has a few to spare.

Random Tuesdayness!

If you want sexy goodness all in your eye, BOOM:

OK, not as good as

or

How about when I was searching for the above picture, I found this:

That's right, bitches, the freakin thong is built IN! I tell ya...those foreign people think of everything. Except maybe the fact that no one in their right mind would wear a jean thong. Or buy those jeans.

Got a wedding to go to this weekend. Should be a shit ton of drunken fun! It is for a high school friend of mine and I am quite excited to see who shows up!

Have you seen Kirstie Alley's new show?!? HILARIOUS!

Ok. That is all.

Oh, Patrick! What a Saint!

As expected, the day of ol' St. Patrick was awesome! 9:00am beer started at 9:18 due to some stragglers, (LARKIN, MICHELLE AND JUSTIN!!) but it was all good! This is what 9:18am beer looks like:

We made the half mile walk down to Forsyth Park first, as that is where the folks who are in the parade gather. That is also the location of the famous Forsyth Park fountain.

We then we made another half mile walk down to Parkers to get some breakfast food! After food, we made our way to the parade route to find prime positioning between where the car was parked (which was parked the night before with 72 beers in it)...

...and conveninetly located to porta pottys...and yes, Sunshine, they were green!

Savannah's St. Patrick's Day parade is the second largest in the COUNTRY! It is absolutely AWESOME! People from all over the world come in to be part of it, including New York firefighters and New York Shields - Pipes and Drums (picture below taken for Deb in New York)

Our crew included the following:

Justin and Andy

Larkin and Michelle

Bobby and his cousin Chris (to the right)

Kellie (in the hat, who is being interviewed by local media here)

And me and Krystal (Hi, that's me, Drunky McDrunk there!)

After the parade we went to one of our favorite spots, Blaine's, but it was entirely too crowded and we were all HUNGRY!! So we went and grabbed two slices at Sweet Mellisa's... absolutely delicious!

After pizza, we headed to another one of our favorite spots, The Bar Bar where my girl Christine was bar tending!

Just a side note, she is going to try out for Playboy next week...keep your fingers crossed! I am hoping to be celebrating St. Patty's at the Playboy Mansion this time next year! LOL!

After The Bar Bar it was time to go home! Before heading home we decided to take a walk through the new square that just opened up and also run through the new fountains they installed there:

It was a glorious day! We drank from 9:18am to around 7:00pm. Not a bad run! I was exhausted though! I am feeling the pain today! No hangover, but MAN do my legs, feet and back hurt! Can't wait till next year!!!!!

If You Need Me Tomorrow...

...I won't be here! PAID HOLIDAY! St. Patrick's Day!

The event is monumental in Savannah! We dye our fountains green, our beer is green and now you are green with envy! Parades! Food! Porta potties! Well, that last part isn't so awesome.

First beer pops at 9:00am, front porch, my house! See ya there!

P.S. Going to bed at 10:00 tonight...wanna be fresh for all the drunken debauchery that will be taking place. I do believe I will be able to outdo my previous drinking record of 12 hours. Alas, the only way to find out is to try!!!

XOXOXOXOXOXO!!

A Beautiful Blogger!!

Or at least this awards says so! :)

LilliGirl over at It's A Great Life...bestowed upon me the below:

Thank you Lilli for this most prestigious award!!!!!

And now for the rules...

1. Thank the person who gave you this award.

2. Share 7 things about yourself.

3. Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic!

4. Contact the bloggers you've picked and let them know about the award.

OK, Rule # 1...CHECK!

On to Rule #2...

1. I believe beer to be the single most wonderful alcoholic beverage in the world. It doesn't matter where you go in the world, you will find beer. It is part of my belief that world peace is reliant on all beer drinkers coming together. It is a work in progress.

2. I typically gain and lose 20lbs every year. I try and lose it all at the beginning so I can eat whatever I want throughout the rest of the year. Probably not the most healthy diet plan...hummm, Mexican food sounds good today.

3. I started blogging over six years ago. It was a project my therapist made me do since I had such a hard time speaking the things I was thinking. He read it daily and we discussed each week at my sessions. I was in therapy due to a bad breakup. Needless to say, my blogging topics have changed dramatically!

4. I actually enjoy getting up in front of people. Whether to "sing" or speak about something, I enjoy it! I thank my 8th grade teacher, Mrs. Wilcox, for that. She used to make me give tours at our local historic locations and even put me on TV one time. Looking back, she was probably trying to keep me busy so I wouldn't get in trouble...all the same, it has helped me significantly in life!

5. I have a complete plan set up in case I win the lottery. It is quite complex and sometimes, if I can't sleep at night, I think it through and it helps relax me enough to go to sleep.

6. I have flown all the way from Georgia to Seattle, Washington just for a weekend of fun. Ahh, those were the days.

7. We didn't have a TV in our house when I was growing up. I would like to say that I could survive without one now. I suppose I probably would get used to it, but DAMN I love watching TV!

Rule #3...FIFTEEN??! GOOD LORDY!!

1. Tina at Tina-cious

3. Andrea at Gathering Dust

4. Charm over at Charm City Barfly.

5. FUCK! No one else on my blogroll has has updated in a while...OR doesn't put up awards...OR already has this one.

OH! IDEA! If you want this award TAKE IT! And don't tell anyone that I didn't follow the damn rules.

6. For you...

7. And you...

8. And especially you...

9. NOT you, but you...

10. Hi, here ya go...

11. You will love this, go ahead, take it...

12. I have this for you...

13. Bitch, please...

14. It doesn't take up much room...

15. Go ahead!

It's SO BEAUTIFUL!!

This morning, I was gifted, for no reason in particular, (best presents, EVER) the gift of beer. NAY! Not any kind of beer, a Miller Lite mini keg!!

I can barely tear my gaze away from it's 1.5 gallons of beer beauty!

One of the partners here at the firm peeped this amazing wonderment at a local liquor store and decided it was something I MUST have. I couldn't agree more. It brought tears to my eyes!

It will be chilled by tomorrow...I can't WAIT!

Ahh, Wednesday!

I am glad it is FINALLY Wednesday, since on Monday I thought it was Tuesday and you can imagine my disappointment when yesterday wasn't Wednesday...so FINALLY, it is here.

Did I mention that my youngest brother left for boot camp two weeks ago? I don't think I did. Well, Jacob, my youngest brother, age 20, went off to boot camp for the Air Force Reserve. He received his top security clearance and is going to be working with bombs.

He is pretty much the smartest of all three of us, but being the youngest has always felt like he had something to prove. This included getting into MUCH more trouble than Joseph or I ever did. Always taking crazy risks and attempting to drop out of high school when he only had like two months left. He is your classic know-it-all, barely out of his teens, boy.

Jacob was confident that boot camp was going to be a cake walk...at least that is the words that came out of his mouth. I let him know that if boot camp was a piece of cake then everyone would be doing it.

Mom said he finally got to call the other day and said "he has vent cleaning, laundry and toilet duty – but they rotate. If not, I know of two areas where he will have personal growth."

Ahhh, Mother, always with the hilarity. But it pisses me off that he doesn't already know how to detail a toilet and do laundry. I am pretty sure I knew how to clean a toilet by the age of 2 1/2 and was most certainly doing my laundry by 3. OK, maybe I am exaggerating, but gahhhhhh the youngest always gets away with EVERYTHING! [stomps foot]

He is going to be a new man when he gets out! I am very much looking forward to seeing him contribute in this world. He has always wanted to impress people...and now he is actually going to have the skills to do that! SO PROUD!

This is the ACTUAL family photo Mom is going to print: (I am hugging lil bro Jacob)

OH! One more thing...totally forgot to mention this earlier. Remember Skitz, the dog Ana is holding in the OTHER family pictures (look back a few posts ago), well Skitz accidentally got lose in Joseph and Ana's friend's home that has two German Shepherds. Naturally, it was an accident and they were acting on instinct, but they ended up having to put Skitz down because she was hurt too bad.

It was quite the shock for them, as Skitz was the first dog they had ever gotten together. Very sad moment. However, it did open up the doors for them to get:

OMG! RIGHT!!?!? So freakin cute!

Could Have Done It All Day Long

Sleep of course. It doesn't take long for my body to decide that it is totally OK with going to bed at 3:00am and sleeping till 1:00pm. This morning was no exception. I had a difficult time sleeping last night, which made for a rude 8:00am awakening.

SO, this weekend in a a few random words: park, reading, roller derby, bad karaoke, mullets, ghetto, redneck bar, Belgian people.

The weather this weekend was pretty darn lovely, so Krystal and I decided to go to Forsyth Park on Saturday. She had a magazine, I had my new book (a sur-present aka a surprise and a present in one) from Larkin! It is Ellen's Mom's book, "Love, Ellen". So far, fantastic!

After going to the park, we went home, showered and waited on Andy (Roommate Bobby's cousin) to come down so he could go to the Savannah Derby Devil's roller derby.

This is my homeslice, Mt Killa...

or Stephanie if she isn't on the rink, after a particularly bad wipe out which totally wrecked her knee. That's what happens when you gotta take a bitch down...sometimes you may take out your own knee too.

After the bout we decided to head over to my favorite redneck bar of all time, The Longbranch. As it turns out, they were having karaoke. The absolute WORST karaoke, EVER. And I know karaoke. It was so horrible that I was actually the best singer there. ME!!! The best?!? I had MULTIPLE requests to sing. If not for the earthquakes, blizzards and whacked out things happening these days, that points to the end of the world, me being the best singer?!?! BWAHAHAHA!

I did get this phenomenal video of this drunk, 110 year old, doing the "Stankey Leg". The real action happens at about 23 seconds. Excuse the hysterical laughter. Or just add to it. Also, peep the awesome sweater at about of a guy that called himself "Savannah Sam" all night, he be-bops by at about 36 seconds.

video

It was at this amazing bar that Krystal made friends with a couple named Rob and Carmen. They are from Belgium. The are also on a year long trip touring the entire western world. North AND South America. All of it. ON A MOTORCYCLE! They were just the epitome of interesting! I learned alot during our time at The Longbranch. I learned that Belgians don't like Germans. (apparently they invaded multiple times...who knew!? Maybe you. Not me.) I also learned that they are riding the western world on the very same bike I own. The very same bike that is currently not running due to a mysterious ailment. And how about these lovely people VOLUNTEERED to come by and take a look at my bike for me! So sweet!

So around 4:00 on Sunday, Rob and Carmen arrived at our house. When someone HERE says I will "take a look", that means, quite literally that they will do a little look-see under the hood or whatnot. Apparently in Belgium it means completely dismantle.

My bike was in a few hundred pieces, gas tank on the grass and everything. After about an hour and a half of checking various things (and me learning about spark plugs, batteries and jet kits) the issue was discovered. It is something to do with a vacuum thingy located directly behind my air filter which is currently stuck and should be moving. If you want technical terms, you are reading the wrong blog my friend.

All of that was to say that you just never know what going to a bar will do for ya! New foreign friends, on one crazy adventure, incredibly interesting and a motorcycle that is on it's way to being fixed! OH! And they got to try Kool-Aid for the first time. I think it might have been a little sweet for them...but I plan on getting their address and mailing them some as a thank you!

Beytches!!!!

I know! You are probably like WTH?! Believe me, I have been screaming it for days now!

Work has been atrocious (nice word usage), but I shant (another good word) complain, as I know many of you are either looking for jobs or in jobs that you do not enjoy.

I DO enjoy mine and it is only because I am so freaking awesome that they pile endless amounts of work on me, because they know it will get done. Eventually. And all that stuff before the word "eventually" is just what I tell myself to make me feel better about the endless amounts of work.

ONWARD!

You may or may not have heard that a couple of weekends ago Savannah got snow! They almost had to import the snow plows for us:

Oh, click the damn picture if you can't see the snow. GAH!

We DID get snow!! It may not be stacked up on the street 20 stories high, but I was able to make a ping pong size snowball.

Though it didn't stick very well, it did snow quite hard for about three hours. VERY large flakes, which I was pretty surprised survived the long fall from cloud to my mouth. Which tasted awesome with my beer. We danced, in our pajamas, with beers in hand, in the snow for abouuuttttt...five minutes and then we decided that it was too damn cold and went back in to watch True Blood.

How about it snowed the DAY that I got my new car. Poor little thing has been through it. I have more pictures to prove it:

No, really, click it. I was bombed with amazing bird poop fury! Bobby said we must have been outed as cat owners. I am beginning to become very wary of birds. I feel certain they are connected to the mafia somehow.

Joseph and Ana came to visit last weekend. We took them to the bar where you can write on walls. Wait, no, the bar where they ENCOURAGE you to write on walls. As we know, you can write on walls in just about any bar, but you have to bring your own marker.

(That is the date they got married)

Just so you know, when I die and come back to haunt your ass, this is what I will look like:

Most alive people won't give you this courtesy on what to look for when they are dead. I am just nice like that.

And to end this post, I leave you with overwhelming cuteness:

That is an old picture I found of lil ol Stryker Hawk, who is now 7 months old and weighs 12lbs. He is going to be BIG cat. Such a cute lil mini leopard. Awwwww! (Yes, un-picked up beer cans from the night before.)
