Featuring Friday

The new year is upon us!

We celebrated in high fashion - beer, shots and fireworks. Tybee Island has a long standing tradition of a fantastic fireworks on the beach, which did not disappoint this year.

Me, Krystal, Bobby and Krystal's Mom made a night of it and stumbled in around 2:00am. We promptly arose at 9:00am, slithered through a bit of a hangover, went home, took a shower and were back at it again by 1:00pm with bottomless mimosas at our local Wild Wing Cafe.

Needless to say, getting back to the work week has been a bit rough.

In other news, Bobby has been offered his own store in Albany, Georgia and will be heading there next week to check the store out and do a trial run. It appears that this is a sure thing, the only things left to figure out is our lease and how to manage utilities with just me and Krystal there. Our budget it set up to split things 3 ways, utilities being a large portion of that. All will work out in the end though. His company is willing to buy out his lease...

Krystal and I were already looking to get our own place at the end of our lease in June, it just looks like it might happen a bit sooner now.

The catch is to find a place, be able to afford all the deposits AND have someone rent our current place all around the same time. That can be a little rough to coordinate.

No worries though...can't make it happen any faster or different having mini strokes over the "what if" scenarios!

That is about all that is going on! I will have more information for you in the next week!

In the meantime, this is the property we are hoping to procure!!

NOOOOOOOOOOO.. Bobby can't move away from Savannah! Albany is tooooo far away. (I can't help but think the correct way to say that, its not like ALbanee, NY, its alBAHHHHnee, GA, at least that is what I was told.. maybe they were messing with me.) (But then there is that whole Hyuusten, House-ten (Houston) thang.) (Don't even get me started.) (You guys talk funny down there.)

You'll still bring him when you come to visit tho, yeah?

love the villas and an totally impressed by the price...though perhaps pay is less there. I have no idea. It sounds like all good things afoot! Trust and believe, no strokes required, it WILL all work out! :)

And how far is the Bobs moving?

Deb - Excuse me?!?! I do believe you were a resident here for QUITE some time!!! And yes, he will still be coming with us on vacations! AS IF we could leave him!!!

Lilli - pricing is good for the location and the rooms/bathroom situation as well as the square footage...he is moving about 3 1/2 hours away. Not horrible, but not exactly down the road either.

Capt D - yes, we are looking to do just that! Had enough with the break ins, parties above our heads while we try to sleep...all the above!

Tysdaddy - yes, yes it was us. Or some redneck with his buckshot. All in all, it is our fault!

Deb - he is opening up his own pet store with the company he is with now. All will be well and YES, we MUST celebrate a New Year together one day!!

Happy New Year Jess!
Way to go for Bobby! I know he will be miss on the day to day bases, but I am sure you'll be in touch and see each other whenever possible... That's an amazing opportunity for him, so, best of luck on the new store!
That gated community looks nice, love how the inside is so bright and with so many windows. I'll be sending you good vibes so everything works out for the best!
