It has been brought to my attention, by a few, that it might be time to update this blog. So I am.
We have been staying pretty darn busy since the last post! Immediately following Collective Soul, I surprised Krystal with seeing Barenaked Ladies in Charleston, South Carolina. Us at the concert taking a sneaky picture so no one behind us would photobomb...
They put on a great show and Krystal knew the words to about 98% of the songs and it is always hilarious to see her singing along...mainly because I am usually the fool trying to sing back up for (insert name of band here) from waaaayyyy back in the back row somewhere.
The weekend after Barenaked Ladies, we went to Atlanta, Georgia with Michelle, Whitney and Larkin where we saw 311 - which is Michelle's favorite band. Here is Michelle with the band members:
This is her "redemption photo" as her original picture, taken with the band a few years back, was not as smiley...the excuse was that she was smiling so much BEFORE the picture was taken that her cheeks spazed out and her smile was not forthcoming. We rectified this situation by boozing her up this time. Seems the rest of the guys may have been boozing it up a bit too...and perhaps a little something else. "Whooooo's got the herb?!?"
Well, that finishes out July...August was filled with travels to see friends, friends coming to see us and the start of football season!!!
This Labor Day weekend my cousin and his girlfriend came from New York to visit. So did my youngest brother. So did my sister in law and tiny baby Icky. Did I mention that my brother and Larkin are both living with me now too?!? I am either running a frat house or a brothel. I haven't decided which one to go with yet.
Wait, have you seen a picture of Icky lately?!? NO! Well, let me rectify THAT problem:
Brother Joseph also rented a boat a few weekends back...THAT was some fantastic fun!!!
This weekend, in the midst of all of those visitors, we were able to attend the Savannah Rhythm and Brews festival, where another of Krystal's favorite bands were playing: Sister Hazel. They were quite good and it was awesome to watch them, drinking some brew, at sunset.
And that gets you all caught up!! :)
